Updates ...
I will be updating frequently now that summer is here. This summer I am planning trips to Nicaragua, New York, and possible Chicago if I get an interview from the Patent Law program.
More to come soon.

Lessons in Criminal Procedure ...
Tomorrow is my final for Constitutional Criminal Procedure. Here are a few lessons I learned that everyone should know.
- If you committed a crime. Shut up. Don't tell cops anything.
- Shut up.
- Seriously, shut up.
- Don't store anything incriminating in your car, cops can pretty much search this whenever you get pulled over.
- Store incriminating evidence in your home, specially in places too small for a weapon.
- If you get arrested and the cops start to interrogate you, ask for a an attorney, being silent is not enough. Ask for a lawyer and shut up.
- Don't trust your cell mates, they be snitches, and what you say to them is completely admissible.
- Ask if you are being detained, if so- shut up, if not walk away.
- Don't volunteer to do anything for the cops (open something, go to with them), but always comply if ordered.
- Last and most importantly. Shut up. (and maybe don't commit crimes)

Another Reason to Hate the Law Library...
Well, here is another reason why I should avoid going to the library: to not get shot. This is a security bulletin sent by my school to students.
Scary.

Sexy Song...
Nothing of substance today. Too busy with finals, but I wanted to share this Pedro the Lion song I am feeling right now. I love the fact that it mixes adultery and religion in a blissful hypocritical union. Lyrics below, song on YouTube here.
Rapture
This is how we multiply
Pity that its not my wife
The friction of skin
The trembling sigh
This is how the bodies move
With everything that we could lose
Pushing us deeper still
The sheets and the sweat
The seed and the spill
The bitter pill yet undiscovered
Gideon is in the drawer
Clothes scattered on the floor
Shes arching her back
She screams for more
Oh my sweet rapture
I hear Jesus calling me home
Finally the chance to breath
Reaching for the fallen sheets
Collapsing in a glowing heap
We've gone too far
We've done too much
We have to quit it
Just one more kiss
Just one more touch
Please 10 more minutes
This feels so good. . .
Just barely moving. . .
The tension building. . .
Our bodies working. . .
To Reach their goal. . .
Oh my sweet rapture
I hear Jesus and the angels singing
Hallelujah
Calling me to enter the promise land.

Irony ....
My former Political Science prof keeps a blog (along with others) about election news and research. I read this on there and wanted to share.
The Irony of the 2008 Democratic Primaries
One short thought: In 2006 and 2007, numerous states moved primaries up to Super Tuesday and earlier so that they could be more "relevant". Isn't it ironic that it is the states that did not move -- North Carolina, Indiana, Oregon -- who are basking in unprecedented attention by the candidates? Those states that did move often received little more than a wave from the candidates; if they had not moved, they could be being romanced right now.
Word.

L.A. May Day March...
Today was May Day, International Worker's Day and local groups organized a march in downtown L.A. to support migrant and worker's rights. This is following up last year's march where LAPD attacked protesters and media. As part of the NLG legal observers program I volunteered to observe this event today (instead of studying for finals).
The Los Angeles Times reported the event as a peaceful one, but with a low turn of about 10,000 people. The march was uneventful for the most part. I share a couple of pictures and videos I took today. For most of the march I was in the back, so I missed the best shots. The rest of the photos here.
